Cut to: later that evening.
Tina laying on the bed with Angelica, talking on the phone to Helena and
taking her up on her job offer.
Cut to: Bette, looking up at her Kiki Smith prints.
She reaches up, taking down the largest one, of a fawn, and then starts to
wrap it carefully.
Cut to: Dana, getting undressed for bed. Lara comes up behind her, slips her
hands over Dana's breasts and goes to kiss her neck, but Dana stops her
abruptly, saying "don't......"
Lara, rebuffed, backs off and Dana looks pensive.
Gees, have these women NEVER heard of a little thing called
COMMUNICATION?!!!
Cut to: Shane walking along at home, with the little doggie barking cutely
at her heels!
I WANT THAT DOG!!!!
*asks girlfriend if I can have Otto*
*slaps immediate sexual imbargo on said girlfriend for saying no, I can't
have Otto, as it's a tv star dog and we wouldn't be able to afford it*
Pooey!
Shane comes and sits on the steps of the house with Jenny and the doggie.
She asks Jenny if she's heard from Moira since she left the restaurant.
Jenny hasn't heard from her and thinks she's an asshole for not going after
her after she left.
Shane tries to make her feel better, but Jenny knows she's made a mistake
with Moira.
Cut to: the lights of L.A.
Moira is parked up somewhere high, looking over the city, and she's standing
by her truck, crying and taking her frustrations out on her truck by kicking
it etc
Then we fade up to the end titles.
I'd just like to say, about that scene where Bette takes down that Kiki
Smith print - I think that scene is VERY important.
I think it's a huge allegory for her character on the show.
Think about it, she's reluctant to change, move on, let go of what she had
in the past and start fresh.
She doesn't want to let go of the print, but she HAS to to live, to survive.
I think for Bette and Tina to survive as a couple, that THAT is what Bette
will have to do.
She'll have to change, let go of her old, in command self, let go of who she
WAS and focus on who she is or who she's becoming NOW.
She has to let go of the old and let in the new.
It's hard. Very hard on her to do this.
She'll have to let go of things she loves - the print illustrates this - but
she CAN do it.
We'll just have to wait and see if she WILL is all.
