#3.6 Recap by The Sci-Fi Bard

Cut to:

Helena moping about in her office.
Tina comes in, angry that Helena undermined her position as being in charge of the whole show when she let Dylan have final cut of the movie.
Helena, like a sad, lovesick puppy, rolls over and apologies, saying that wont ever happen again.

Awww, I almost wanna step into my screen and give her a big hug!
Pwoor pwoor Helena's been dumped by the big bad Dylan before they even had a chance to go out on a date!

Tina - who was obviously expecting a bigger fight than Helena simply apologizing straight-off - is a little taken aback and accepts the apology, then goes to leave.

Helena stops her and asks if she's ever "fallen in love with a straight woman?"
Tina points out she's talking to the wrong person about this, cause she herself was straight till she met Bette!
Helena wants to understand though, so persists and asks what it was like when Tina fell for Bette.

Tina does her best and even does a little Freudian slip, showing us that everything isn't exactly rosy in her and Bette's lesbian garden.
Oh really?
You don't say!
I would have NEVER have guessed, what with all the bitching, backbiting, arguing and fighting they do......

Helena is rather emotional and doesn't understand how someone can be "so THERE" one minute and then distant the next.
i.e. Dylan and her making out one moment then Dylan is all "I'm straight, it wont happen again!" the next.

Tina says "can I give you some advice? Let it go. It almost never ends up the way you want it to"

Bummer.

However, at that moment there's a knock at the door and in comes......

Yes, YOU'VE guessed it (cause you're not a totally brainless idiot) DYLAN comes back in the office, asking if she can talk to Helena for a minute.

Helena looks like someone just found her lost bunny rabbit and Tina gallantly makes herself scarce, saying there's a screening she has to be at.

Which leaves the boss lady and the documentary maker alone once again.

I must just say, I think Ellen DeGeneres has GOOD taste in women, cause let's face it folks, Alexandra Hedison is a striking lady and I certainly wouldn't kick her out of bed on a sunny Sunday morning that's for sure! ;-)

Dylan and Helena just stand there looking at each other.
Helena asks "what?", wondering what Dylan has come back to say and Dylan, in return, moves forward, trying to find the words she needs to express herself.

The two come closer and closer, until their lips are millimeters apart, and all you can hear is their breath and all you can do is hold your YOURS.

I always find kissing scenes in which the two women involved hold-off kissing each other for as long as possible to be terribly erotic.
It's like you KNOW what's gonna happen, but the longer the wait, the more satisfying the outcome ;-)

The two women know that their attraction to each other is too strong to resist and they are going to give into it.
They're breathing is heavy and as their lips inch closer grins play on both of them.

Until, inevitably, their lips meet and they kiss in a furious explosion of passion and lust and want and need.

And boy, are these two HOT!

Before you know it Helena has gotten off Dylan's jacket and then they are falling down onto the sofa in the office, Helena on top, making out as if their life depended on it!

Oh it must be SUCH a hard life being Rachel Shelley.
Not to mention being Alexandra Hedison.

;-)

Helena pulls up Dylan's top and her hands are everywhere.
They're panting and kissing and, and.....

and I hope there's a lock on Helena's office door ;-)

Cut to:

Alice walking through the hospital, trying to find Lara.
When she does, the other woman is all alone still, hugging herself, distressed.
The two actually hug and Lara says "I'm so glad you're here!"

Dana's parents come out of her room just over the hall and Alice spots them, goes over and says hi.
Dana's father asks what Alice is doing there and Alice says that they'd (her and Lara) like to know what's going on with Dana after her op.

Her father quickly tells them they removed Dana's breast and found the cancer has spread.
Alice is shocked and upset, and Lara doesn't know what to say.

Dana's father says they should both go home, but Alice says that Dana would want Lara with her.
Dana's mother yet again tries to put the boot in, saying her daughter is very sick and needs to rest etc.

But Alice, our lovely Alice, stands her ground.
She basically tells Dana's parents that they need to respect that Lara is Dana's partner and that she loves her very much.
She guides Lara past Dana's mother and father and into Dana's room, finally.

YAY ALICE!

I don't think Lara was in a fit state to stand up to Dana's parents and if Alice hadn't been there and said what she did, Lara would probably still be waiting in the corridor until Christmas!

Lara goes into Dana's room and Dana says groggily "heyyyy, where'd you go?!"
"I'm right here baby..." answers Lara, holding her hand and soothing her.

Alice, meanwhile, waits pensively just inside the door.
Lara tells Dana that Alice is there too and Alice makes her presence known, but doesn't come forward straight away.
Seeing Dana so ill is hard on her and she's trying not to break down completely in front of her.
She gathers her courage and then comes to Dana's bedside to hold her hand.

It's obvious Dana is overjoyed to have her best friend back again, and by her side.

It's a very touching scene, so make sure you have your tissue boxes at the ready! ;-)
