Missing You: not yet released, this
track is melodic, sad, and speaks of happiness now gone
Portishead meets Beth Orton. Majandra (an actress who played
"Maria" on the WB's Roswell) combines her deeply
personal poet's lyrics with a soulful, melodic voice and background
music that mixes a small string orchestra with digitized sounds. The
music is hauntingly beautiful, painful, and makes you want to sing
|Scar: this title track is more upbeat than
some of her other songs and has you singing along in no time. Featured
in promos for The O.C. in Australia.
Casualty: Tina's anthem for S2? "I'm not
gonna be with one more casualty...it's been too long since I looked out
Australia native, Missy Higgins has recently recorded her sophomore
album. This album showcases her heartfelt and direct lyrics with a voice
and style that combines Jazz influences with a contemporary feel. If you
like Joss Stone or Fisher, you'll like Missy.
Pretty Enough: a thought that
has probably crossed everyone's mind at some point in their lives - this
beautiful track was written by Kasey when questioning why she wasn't

||Who knew they
had country music in Australia? Call me clueless, but not I (Slicey,

voice full of emotion. L Worthy: Lucinda
Williams (of TLW S1 soundtrack) sings with Kasey on a track from this
album. "Kasey is my favorite new artist." - Lucinda
Rude (Get Fcuked)
(Get Fcuked): a dance track
currently spinning in every lesbian bar in Sydney.

mix and I know virtually nothing about the group that put it together (Phats

Oz made inspired by this song.
Wanna Die: "And you were at
the start - And now you are the end - And you left me with nothing to
defend - I need the voice of a good friend" (Slicey used to think
the lyric was "girl" friend. *ahem*) -From the
"'Cause I'm not beautiful like you...I'm beautiful like me."
-From the "Metasexual" album.
|A hard rock
crunch with pop vocals (think Garbage), Tara Slone's vocals slip
effortlessly over the beats put out by her male band mates. A Canadian
rock band formed in the late 90s - once on the Tommy Boy records label -
now I assume they have disbanded.
