SYNOPSIS

Tina confesses to Bette that she may have feelings for Josh Becker. In a passive/aggressive move, Bette encourages Tina to explore her feelings, but also lets her know that it may mean the end of their relationship. Alice may finally be over Dana as she falls under the spell of vampire Uta. In the process of reveling in her new love, she tosses out the life-size cut-out of Dana she's been hoarding. Jan Martin, a Simon & Schuster publisher, flies to LA to meet with Jenny about publishing her book, but tells Jenny there are changes she needs to make - like turning the project from a fictional novel into a true-life survivor memoir, which doesn't sit well with the author. Dana faces reality and gets a mastectomy just as the girls find out the truth about her condition: Lara, alone in dealing with Dana's illness, breaks down at the hospital and calls Alice for help. Carmen's temper burns out of control as she confronts Shane about her romp with Cherie and lectures her on the meaning of monogamy. Billie helps Moira feel like Max in more ways than one and helps her get male hormones without a prescription. Dylan keep Helena off balance with her on-again, off-again sexual advances, all the while protesting that she's straight. Though nervous about starting a relationship with Angus, a man she considers too young for her, Kit takes a step towards a relationship, just as Bette and Tina walk in on them making out.
